Neo Classical & Mordern Dances

| This style
of dances of Kerala represents a mixture of the folk and
classical dances, brutal the same time projecting a distinctive
entity of its own Important Neo-Classical dances are the
Meenakshinatakom and Chavittunatakom. The western type
of dance forms called opera and ballet have been adapted
and produced in purely Kerala dance techniques and are
therefore popular. Pure western style dances, beetles,
rock and roll and other modern popular items are also
performed in tourist hotels. |
